Chief Secretary took note of all suggestions provided by the religious leaders for the re-opening of religious places in Tamil Nadu.

As many as 34 religious leaders were invited for the meeting.
As per the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for phased re-opening of COVID-19 lockdown, religious places and places of worship are allowed to open from June 8.
The religious places had been shut for over two months due to lockdown guidelines issued to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
A total of 1,286 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases to 25,872 in the state. (ANI)
