Jagtial, October 21: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha on Saturday slammed Congress MP Rahul Gandhi saying that he is a "paper tiger, not a Babbar Sher". She claimed that Rahul Gandhi does not understand local politics. "Rahul Gandhi, you are a paper tiger. Please come to Telangana but please review what you are saying in public. Telangana is a state which has the highest political awareness because we fought for our state, we gave our lives for our state," Kavitha said while addressing media at Metpally area in Jagtial district.

Kavitha hit out at Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy and said that the people of Jagtial will reject him. "Jeevan Reddy gain some knowledge before you speak. Not calling me Elizabeth queen or some other queen. I am not your Italy queen. I have not taken the lives of hundreds of Telangana people like you Italy queen. I speaking with restraint even though you are insulting Bathukamma, which is an icon of Telangana's self-respect. You should realise to what extent you have stooped down. By seeing the statement, I thought that MP Arvind had made the statement, however I was surprised to know it was Jeevan Reddy. I was very disheartened as to why a senior leader is talking like this. You will not win. Being an MLC, now you are contesting as MLA. However, the people of Jagtial will reject you," she added. Telangana Assembly Election 2023: BRS MLC Kavitha Slams Rahul Gandhi Over ‘Corruption’ Comments, Says ‘Central Govt Survey Found Telangana Least Corrupt’.

Rahul Gandhi Is Paper Tiger, Not Babbar Sher, Says Kavitha

She further said, "You are speaking as you like in the enthusiasm of seeing Rahul Gandhi. You should remember that Rahul Gandhi is not a 'Babbar Sher', he is a paper tiger. Because whatever anybody writes and gives it to him, that is the only thing he will read and go away. He does not understand the local situation, he does not understand local politics, he does not respect or understand the local traditions or culture of this region." Kavitha also urged Rahul Gandhi and Jeevan Reddy to "not lose their restraint"

"Next time you come here, don't just go to a 'dosa bandi' and eat dosa but go to a mother of a martyr of the Telangana movement, then you will know the pain, then you will understand the issue of Telangana. Otherwise, you will not understand. My only request to Rahul Gandhi and Jeevan Reddy is do not lose your restraint. This is just an election," she added.
