Sharing details about the incident, the official said, "Police Station Moranwali Village in Hoshiarpur district reported a clash between two groups, in which three people of one group sustained vital injuries as a result of gunshots. On receiving the information, police reached the spot to verify the incident and tried to follow up on the treatment of the injured. "The people from both the groups were residents of Moranwali. They had a minor clash nearly 15 days ago as well, over a small issue," said the official. "An individual identified as Gurpreet Singh had called some people from his rehabilitation centre who used sharp weapons to attack the victims, after which they sustained deep injuries on their vital organs, following which they lost their lives," stated the SSP. The official further said that an FIR has been registered under relevant sections and further investigation is being carried out in the matter.
