Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], September 16 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 26 lakh PM Awas houses at Gadakana in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

According to Police Commissioner Bhubaneswar Sanjeev Panda, after arriving at Bhubaneswar airport, PM Modi will proceed to the Gadakana slum area near Sainik School of Bhubaneswar.

During his stay in the slum, PM Modi is scheduled to interact with the PM Awas beneficiaries.

The PM will leave the slum and later go to the Janata Maidan, where he will launch the Subhadra Yojana.

In view of the Prime Minister's visit, tight security has been arranged under the direct supervision of CP Sanjeeb Panda and DCP Prateek Singh. The routes from the airport to Janata Maidan and Gadakana have been declared as no-flying zones.

According to CP Sanjeeb, 11 DCP rank officers, 22 additional DCPs, 66 ACPs, 100 IICs, 300 senior police officers, 81 platoons of force, around 500 home guards and three units of STO and ODRAF will be deployed during the PM's visit for security reasons.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects in the railways, road, power, housing and finance sectors worth more than Rs 8,000 crore in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

He also inaugurated India's first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Ahmedabad and Bhuj. He flagged off several Vande Bharat trains on routes--Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Pune to Hubballi, and the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train from Varanasi to Delhi. Further, he launched the Single Window IT System (SWITS) of the International Financial Services Centres Authority.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister noted the auspicious occasions of Ganpati Mahotsav and Milad-un-Nabi and various festivals being celebrated all around the country. PM Modi said that during this time of festivities, India's festival of development is also underway, with projects in the sectors of rail, road and metro worth around Rs 8,500 crore inaugurated and foundation stones laid.

Terming the inauguration of Namo Bharat Raid Rail as a new star-studded in Gujarat's honour, the Prime Minister said that it will prove to be a new milestone in India's urban connectivity.
