New Delhi [India], November 6 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured in the mishap in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi. The PM further expressed grief and called the incident "heart-wrenching".

"The road accident in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh is heart-wrenching. Many families have lost their loved ones in this. I pray to God to give them the strength to bear this immense sorrow. Along with this, I wish for the speedy recovery of all the injured. Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in helping the victims in every possible way," the PMO posted on X.

As many as ten people including six women died and four got injured in a collision between an auto and a truck in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi on Wednesday, said police.

All the injured were hospitalised and are now out of danger, said police.

Neeraj Kumar Jadaun, Superintendent of Police, Hardoi said, "10 people including 6 women died in a collision between an auto and a truck. 4 people got injured. They are out of danger, but they are being sent to the district hospital for better treatment..."
