He said that the state government had decided to give 10 per cent reservation in government jobs to the state agitators and all their dependents; despite all the difficulties, horizontal reservation had now been implemented. This had also fulfilled a big pending demand of the state agitators.

"Along with increasing the pension of the state agitators, the state government has also decided to give pensions to their dependents after their deaths. We cannot forget the sacrifice of the martyred state agitators," he said.

CM Dhami said that their state is continuously moving forward in the direction of development.

"The state has been ranked first in the index of development released by NITI Aayog. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is continuously moving on the path of progress. Work is being done in the state on central schemes worth about 2 lakh crores. Whether it is road construction, school construction, a hospital or any work in the interest of the state, there will be no shortage of any kind of funds for this," Dhami said.

He also mentioned that the state is moving towards a drug-free state and for this, not only the government but everyone would have to cooperate.

The Chief Minister said that along with the development of the state, attention was also being paid to environmental protection.

"In the investor summit held last year, a large number of industrialists are coming to the state for investment. This will provide employment opportunities to our youth in the state itself and will also stop migration," he said.

He also said that while solving the problem of illegal encroachment in the state, about 5000 acres of land had been freed from encroachment.

During the meeting, Uttarakhand State Movement Forum President Jagmohan Singh Negi, former Vice President of Uttarakhand State Movement Welfare Council Ravindra Jugran, Uttarakhand State Movement Forum State Spokesperson Pradeep Kukreti and a large number of Forum officials were present. (ANI)
