Patna (Bihar) [India], October 4 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in coordination with the National Investigation Agency (NIA), arrested NIA Patna Branch DSP and his two agents for accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 20 lakh, officials said on Thursday.

According to officials, the CBI and NIA set a trap after receiving a complaint about corrupt activities by the accused officer.

The CBI had received information that one Rocky Yadav, owner of Ramaiya Construction, was alleging corrupt practices by the NIA Patna Branch Investigating Officer during the course of an NIA investigation against him.

After verifying the inputs and acting promptly in coordination with the NIA, the CBI laid a trap, officials said.

During the operation, the CBI apprehended the accused Investigating Officer, Deputy SP Ajay Pratap Singh, along with his two agents, while they were accepting illegal gratification of Rs 20 lakh from the complainant.
