Sukma (Chhattisgarh), Jul 7 (PTI) Naxals killed their former comrade in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh who had laid down the arms and leading a normal life, police said on Sunday.

As per the preliminary information, Barse Masa was fatally attacked with sharp weapons in Sanpenta village under the Kistaram police station limits on Saturday late evening, a police official said.

Upon being alerted about the incident this morning, police registered a case and launched a search for the attackers, he added.

Masa, who was associated with the outlawed CPI (Maoist) since 2010, surrendered before the police in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh recently. He subsequently relocated to Sanpenta village, the official said.
