New Delhi [India], September 29 (ANI): Congress Social Media and Digital Platforms Chairperson Supriya Shrinate on Friday lambasted the Madhya Pradesh Government for the rape of a minor girl in Ujjain.

An 8-year-old girl was found raped and lying in an unconscious state in a pool of her blood in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district on September 25. Seeing her soaked in blood, locals informed police, which reached the spot and took the girl to the hospital where a medical examination confirmed she was raped.

"The reality is that this little girl after being raped brutally, smeared with blood walked for 8 km asking for help and people didn't help her. What's the police's role in this? Why is the Chief Minister quiet? What is the home minister of MP doing? Kailash Vijayvargia stays 1 km away from the hospital in which she's admitted. Why can they not go and find out?" asked Shrinate.

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday announced that the accused in the Ujjain minor rape incident has been arrested. The accused, identified as Bharat Soni, a resident of Ujjain district, will face the strict punishment for his actions, CM Chouhan told reporters. He further emphasized the commitment to ensuring that justice will be served in this case. (ANI)
