Haridwar (Uttarakhand) [India], September 7 (ANI): Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla on Saturday attended the Akhand Jyoti Yatra Sammelan organised at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya in Shantikunj, Haridwar and extended greetings on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

"Today, Akhand Jyoti Yatra has begun from this land of Shantikunj... This Yatra will spread the message of Adhyatm and knowledge to the people of the country and will also help in character building and will bring Indian culture to the countrymen," Om Birla told reporters.

In a post on X, Om Birla said that "Addressed the Jyoti Kalash Yatra Sammelan organized at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya located at Shantikunj in the holy city of Haridwar. Today the Yatra has been started in the states of the Northeast, including Rajasthan. My best wishes for this holy resolution," he posted on X.
