India News | J-K: Pulwama Police Apprehend One Terror Associate with 10 Grenades

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], October 29 (ANI): Pulwama Police in Jammu and Kashmir claimed to have apprehended a terror associate along with 10 grenades on Tuesday, police said in a statement.

As per the statement, based on inputs about an imminent terror attack in Pulwama town, a joint Naka of Pulwama SOG, 55RR and CRPF 182Bn, was laid in the evening hours at the Circular road, Pulwama.

During checking, one person namely Danish Bashir S/o Bashir Ahmad R/o Dangerpora, Pulwama, who was travelling on his Scooty, was asked to stop at the circular road and a search was made, it added.

Upon checking, 10 live grenades and 5 batteries were found to be in his possession which were carefully wrapped and kept in the underseat of the two-wheeler. Cognizance of the said recovery has been taken and case FIR no. 224/2024 u/s 18, 39 UAPA, 3/4 Explosives Act, and the said suspect was arrested, the statement added.
