Guwahati (Assam) [India], September 20 (ANI): Inland Waterways Authority of India moved one huge Over Dimensional Cargo (ODC), Vaccum Tower, headed towards Numaligarh Refinery from Kolkata via Indo Bangladesh Protocol Route on Friday.
"In yet another watershed moment in the logistics sector of Assam, the Inland Waterways Authority of India, the nodal agency of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, successfully felicitated one huge Over Dimensional Cargo (ODC), a Vaccum Tower, headed towards Numaligarh Refinery," the Inland Waterways Authority of India said in a statement.

"The ODC was ferried by MV Tidal Waves IV vessel from Kolkata via Indo Bangladesh Protocol Route (IBPR) and is headed to NRL for its expansion project," it added.
Meanwhile, Prabin Bora director of Inland Waterways Authority of India, said, "This is a very positive development in the logistics sector of Assam. This ODC is the result of the MoU signed between NRL and IWAI earlier." (ANI)
