Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], May 19 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Sunday inaugurated the five-day art exhibition organised by the Indian Arts Council at the historic Gaiety Theatre, Shimla.

"Artworks of 11 artists from different states of the country have been displayed in this exhibition," as per a press release from the Raj Bhavan.

"Dr Chandrashekhar Kale, Founder President of, the Indian Arts Council, welcomed the Governor," the release stated.

Praveen Pandit, the coordinator, presented Shukla the Governor's painting made by him. Prominent personalities were also present on the occasion.

"Your contributions are invaluable in enriching our cultural landscape and inspiring future generations of artists", said the Governor.

He said that the historic Gaiety Theatre of Shimla has emerged as a centre of excellence in the country for performing various works of art. (ANI)
