Ahmedabad, June 24: At least two persons lost their lives while three others were injured after a fire broke out at Arihant Industrial Estate in the Odhav area in Gujarat's Ahmedabad on Monday, according to a fire official.

According to the fire department, "A fire broke out on Monday at around 1:15 pm due to a blast in shed no. 75, Banshee Powder Coating, at Arihant Industrial Estate. In the incident, the owner, 50-year-old Rameshbhai Patel, and worker, 25-year-old Pawan Kumar, lost their lives. Patel's son Vasudev, who was injured, has been referred to the nearest hospital. Meanwhile, SS Gadhavi (Nikol fire station officer), while speaking with ANI, said, "In the Odhav area, there was a powder coating firm. Hot processing is done for powder coating, and there was some pressure in the oven, so the blast happened." He added, "Two people have lost their lives and three people were injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem to Civil Hospital."
