Earlier on Tuesday, Under Swarnim Jayanti Mukyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, the CM has granted in-principle approval to allocate Rs 1664 crore for 502 different development works in the cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Gandhinagar. Furthermore, the Chief Minister has given in-principle approval for the allocation of Rs 67.70 crore for the Underground Sewerage Scheme Part-II to the municipalities of Bhachau, Dhanera, Dakor, and KhedBrahma. The CM has also approved the proposals submitted by the State Urban Development and Urban Housing Department concerning these allocations.
CM Patel also granted in-principle approval to the Surat Municipal Corporation to allocate Rs 380 crore for the construction of 6 flyover bridges, designed to ease traffic in Surat City and alleviate the burden on roadways.
