Port Blair, April 10: An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter Scale hit near Campbell Bay in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Sunday afternoon. National Center for Seismology (NCS) informed that the earthquake occurred at 4.13 pm. The earthquake was 10 km in depth, according to the NCS.

Earlier on April 6, an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale hit Campbell Bay in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. As per NCS, the earthquake occurred at 6:07 pm on Wednesday.

NCS is the nodal agency of the Government of India for monitoring earthquake activity in the country.
