New Delhi, August 1: A woman and her child drowned after falling into a waterlogged drain in the Ghazipur area of East Delhi following heavy rainfall in the national capital. The deceased were identified as Tanuja (22) and her child, Priyansh (3), residents of Prakash Nagar Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad.

According to police, "A call was received on Wednesday evening at about 8.12 pm regarding a woman and a child drowning in a drain. Based on the information received on Police Response Vehicle (PRV), the force immediately reached the spot."
