New Delhi, October 12: Delhi Police's Special Cell on Thursday arrested three people from the African continent who are allegedly part of an international narcotics Drugs Syndicate. The police have seized from them 6.044 kg of methaqualone and 2.058 kg of heroin worth more than Rs. 40 crores in the international market. According to the police, they were also staying illegally in the country. "Three Delhi-based, illegally staying citizens of African origin, including two Nigerian and one Sierra Leone nationals associated with an Inter-National Narcotics Drugs Syndicate have been arrested by Special Cell," said a statement by the Delhi Police. This however isn't the first that police have arrested African nationals. Last year, police in Maharashtra's Pune arrested six citizens from Tanzania and Uganda for running drug rackets in the city. The officials also seized drugs worth Rs 67 lakhs.
