Lucknow, October 28: Preparations are underway for Ayodhya's grandest Deepotsav, with all departments working diligently on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's instructions to enhance the festival's splendour, the Chief Minister's Office reported. As part of the celebrations, the Animal Husbandry Department has committed to lighting 1.5 lakh cow dung diyas during Deepotsav. On Monday, Animal Husbandry Minister Dharampal Singh met the Chief Minister and symbolically presented cow dung diyas and other cow-based products, marking a significant step in the state's initiatives toward cow conservation and promotion.

The Yogi government aims to light over 35 lakh diyas in Ayodhya, with 28 lakh diyas illuminating 55 ghats along the Saryu River, setting a new world record.
