Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 20 (ANI): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday virtually addressed the people present in the Jan Milan program organized at Agastyamuni in Rudraprayag from the CM's Camp Office in Dehradun.
Addressing the people virtually, he said that his brother and sisters had a great desire in their hearts that the CM should have joined the people in the program which was held in Rudraprayag, however, due to bad weather it was not possible.
Further, he added that he would meet the people in Rudraprayag.
Further, the CM said that strict provisions were made by the government to prevent the misuse of the name of Chardham.
The Chardham Yatra being conducted in the state has been constantly setting new records. Through this, the livelihood of the local people is increasing and the religious tourism of the state is also expanding.
CM Dhami added that the demand for local products during the Chardham Yatra has increased through the House of Himalayas. He said that our government has been working to give a new identity to the products made by women.
Earlier, on August 16, on the instructions of CM Dhami, District In-charge Char Dham Yatra Secretary R Rajesh Kumar conducted a field inspection of the projects in Kedar Valley, which witnessed heavy rains recently.
During the inspection, he was accompanied by officials concerned as he inspected the Rudraprayag-Gaurikund National Highway and instructed officials to speed up the work.
The District In-charge Secretary inspected the projects being done by the National Highway Division of PWD and the Irrigation Department. He said that the entire team of the Public Works Department was deployed to repair the damaged road from Km 72 of the National Highway.
Along with this, he also inspected the last damaged road till Km 75 where earth movers were employed. He instructed officials to complete the work at a fast pace. (ANI)
