In his post, Soren further added that the people of Kolhan region had stood with him at every step, and rejected his option of taking "sanyaas" from politics. He further stated that there "was no such forum/platform in the party" where he could express his "pain."
He also mentioned the problems like "Bangladeshi infiltration" in Santhal Pargana and said, "What can be more unfortunate than the fact that these infiltrators are occupying the lands of the descendants of those heroes who never accepted the slavery of the foreign British in the fight for water, forest and land. Because of them, the dignity of our mothers, sisters and daughters who consider brave women like Phool-Jhano as their ideal is in danger." "If these intruders, who are causing economic and social harm to the tribals and natives, are not stopped, the existence of our society in Santhal Pargana will be in danger. In many areas, including Pakur and Rajmahal, their number has become greater than that of tribals. Apart from politics, we have to make this issue a social movement; only then will the existence of tribals be saved," he added.
In the end, he stated that "only BJP seems serious on this issue and other parties are ignoring it for the sake of votes." On Monday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to social media platform X to announce the joining of Champai Soren to the BJP on August 30 in Ranchi.
"Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and a distinguished Adivasi leader of our country, Champai Soren, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah a short while ago. He will officially join the BJP on 30th August in Ranchi," the Assam CM said on X.
Earlier, Champai Soren hinted at forming a new party, after Soren took to social media to voice his grievances, stating that he had been "insulted" during his tenure as Chief Minister and that all options remained open ahead of the forthcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.
