New Delhi [India], October 4 (ANI): The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) lauded the Indian Customs K9 squad for its exceptional detection skills, keeping the country safe from narcotics.

In a post on X, CBIC said, "The Indian Customs K9 squad is truly making a name for itself with its impressive detection skills! Trained at the Customs Canine Centre in Attari, these talented dogs are sniffing out narcotics and keeping our country safe."

Recently, K9 Nancy and K9 Yasmi from Kolkata Customs, along with K9 Jano from Cochin Customs, made a significant bust, seizing 31.448 kilograms of ganja on September 24. This is just one of many successes for the squad.

"The K9s trained at CCC, Attari, have confirmed or detected narcotics in 82 cases across India since November 2020. The Indian Customs K9 squad comprises 242 detector dogs, trained in-house at the Customs K9 Centre, Attari," the post further read.
