Ranchi, October 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jharkhand election co-in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday exuded confidence in the party winning the assembly elections and implementing National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the Santhal Pargana division. He further alleged that "intruders" have entered the state with the knowledge of the state government.

"Yesterday too you saw the Jharkhand government's internal letter in which it was written that intruders are given training at the Madarsas, Aadhar cards are made. So many things are coming forward, we believe that after these elections BJP government will be formed and we will implement NRC in Santhal Pargana," he told ANI. He further demanded the expulsion of Congress' Irfan Ansari for his "derogatory remarks" against Sita Soren. Earlier, BHP MP Nishikant Dubey alleged that that neither the Congress nor the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha are concerned about the tribals due to vote bank politics. Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024: PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh Among BJP’s Star Campaigners for Polls; Full List Here.

He also said that Bangladeshi infiltrators are behind the 11 per cent rise in the Muslim population in Santhal Pargana and added that the Bharatiya Janata Party will not sit peacefully until Bangladeshi infiltrators are sent back. Speaking to ANI, Nishikant Dubey said, "In 1951, the population of Muslims was 9 per cent, today it is 24 per cent. Throughout the country, Muslims have increased by 4 per cent and in our Santhal Pargana, it has increased by 15 per cent, these 11 per cent are Bangladeshi infiltrators and the government of Jharkhand is accepting this. Due to vote-bank politics, neither the Congress nor the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha are concerned about the tribals. Until Bangladeshi infiltrators are sent back, the Bharatiya Janata Party will not sit peacefully, this is not the issue of the election, this is the national issue." Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024: From Hemant Soren in Barhait to Champai Soren in Saraikela, List of Key Candidates and Constituencies.
