New Delhi, May 25 (PTI) The Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry has created a film facilitation centre to make it easier for producers from other countries to get permission to shoot in India, Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said today.

The initiative to create a single-window clearance system has made the process simpler for getting permissions for shooting films in India, he said.

"We have created a film facilitation centre in the Information and Broadcasting (ministry) for any of the producers from any country to come and produce films in our country by a single window clearance.

"We reduced all the bureaucracy and red-tapism and made it simpler for producers from other country to shoot in India," he said while inaugurating the ASEAN India Film Festival here.

Around 32 films from 11 countries would be screened during the festival.

Rathore, the Information and Broadcasting Minister, said Indian films are screened at various film festivals held abroad, which is one of the ways to improve relations and bonds with the other nations.

The ASEAN India Film Festival celebrates the excellence of cinema by showcasing films from the ASEAN countries.
