Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Nov 8 (ANI): The Hyderabad Police on Thursday said that they have registered 71 cases on persons in various places of the city for bursting firecrackers after 10 pm on the occasion of Diwali yesterday.

Speaking to ANI over the phone, Additional Commissioner (Crimes and SIT) of Hyderabad, Shika Goel said, "Implementing the Supreme Court order, we have registered 71 cases under Section 22/77 on the persons in various places of the Hyderabad city for bursting crackers after 10 pm."

Before Diwali, the Hyderabad Police released a notification for the public, warning them to not burst crackers after 10 pm on Diwali. The police also warned that cases would be booked against the violators under the City Police Act.
