Ambedkarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Oct 17 (ANI): Ritesh Pandey, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Ambedkarnagar, has committed to cooperate in the investigation involving his brother Ashish Pandey, who waved a gun outside a hotel in Delhi.
In a letter, Ritesh said that he and his family members are ready to cooperate in the investigation.
"Our entire family is ready to cooperate in the investigation and media is being biased in reporting the incident," he wrote.
Meanwhile, over 50 persons, including Ashish's father, uncle and 12 employees of hotel Hyatt Regency have been interrogated in the matter till now.
Search is underway in all known hideouts, offices, and residence of Ashish Pandey, his family members and friends in Lucknow and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Apart from this, two more teams of Delhi police were dispatched to Lucknow to assist team and conduct raids in Lucknow and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier in the day, Delhi's Patiala House Court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Ashish Pandey, the son of former BSP MP Rakesh Pandey, for brandishing a gun in premises of Delhi Hyatt Regency hotel, following a brawl with Kanwar Gaurav - son of ex-Congress MLA Kanwar Karan Singh.
The Delhi Police is coordinating with the Lucknow Police in this case, since Ashish is from Lucknow, however, his ancestral house is in Akbarpur. (ANI)
