Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Nov 21 (ANI): The Himachal Pradesh government in the cabinet meeting accorded its approval to implement Sashakt Mahila Yojna in the state with a vision to empower rural women by providing them an interface for organisation and socio-economic development.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here on Tuesday.
The scheme not only envisages to link rural women with sustainable livelihood opportunities but also to improve their skill by imparting training.
Besides this, the state Cabinet also approved the opening of a government Pharmacy College in Seraj area of Mandi district.
In addition, the Himachal government gave its permission for the creation of Sub Tehsil at Mandap in Mandi district which will have total nine patwar circles for the population of 12440.
The Cabinet also decided to open a Police Post at Yashwant Nagar under Police Station Rajgarh in Sirmaur district along-with creation of seven posts of various categories to facilitate the people of 48 villages of the area. Similarly, it also approved to open Police Post at Shoghi under Boileauganj Police Station in Shimla district.
It approved to fill up 54 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) on contract basis in Women and Child Development Directorate, Himachal Pradesh.
The state government also gave its nod to filling up the posts of three creche workers and 15 posts of creche helpers in creches being managed by Himachal Pradesh State Council for Child Welfare under National Creche Scheme in different districts of the State. The approval was also accorded for the creation and filling up ten posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) on contract basis in Industries Department.
The decision was made to convert part-time workers of all the departments of the State Government including part-time water carriers of the Education Department who have continuously completed eight years of their service as on 31st March 2018 and 30th September 2018 as daily wagers.
The Cabinet also agreed to open Ayurvedic Health Centre at village Sain in Bharata Gram Panchayat of Thural tehsil in Kangra district along-with creation of requisite posts to run this Centre.
As many as 84 posts for wardens in H.P. Prisons and Correctional Services Department will be filled on contract basis.
The approval was given to fill up ten posts of Class-III and Class-IV of different categories in Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur.
The cabinet also approved the amendment to Section 35 of the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Rules, 2014 so that the deviations in the construction could be compounded expeditiously in light of various judicial pronouncements. (ANI)
