Shimla, Apr 14 (PTI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today laid the foundation stone of Transport Nagar at Kather village near Solan as a measure to decongest the town.

The Rs 16.14 crore project would have 171 workshops, 136 show rooms along with proper parking, junk yard and other infrastructural facilities.

The chief minister said the government had set 100-days agenda for development of the state after assuming office and worked for the same.

He said that adequate budget provision has been made for all the new schemes announced by the government, which included 30 new schemes.

Later addressing a public meeting and Social Justice Day (Samajik Nayay Divas) celebrations held to commemorate 127th birth anniversary of Dalit icon B R Ambedkar at Solan, Jai Ram said Ambedkar was not only the architect of Constitution of India but also a thinker and scholar par excellence.

Ambedkar worked for social justice to all and the present government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working on the same lines.
