On October 5, the Gurugram Police detained the assailant's mother and cousin for interrogation.
The police arrested the gunman on Saturday and said that they are yet to ascertain the motive behind the crime.
The incident took place on October 13, when the additional sessions judge Krishan Kant's wife Ritu and their 18-year-old son Dhruv had gone to shopping in Gurugram's Sector 49.
The gunman opened fire and injured both of them. While the judge's wife was pronounced dead, the son of the additional sessions judge has been declared brain dead and put on life support system.
Soon after the incident, a forensic team was sent to the spot and an investigation was launched to look into the matter. (ANI)
