Panaji, Jun 23 (PTI) A Congress leader today filed a police complaint against two BJP party workers for allegedly threatening Goa Pradesh Congress Committee chief Girish Chodankar through a Facebook post.
The Congress North Goa chief Vijay Bhike lodged a complaint against BJPs former state general secretary Satish Dhond and its youth wing office bearer Gajanan Tilve, police said.
Bhike, in his complaint, alleged that Tilve, through a Facebook post, threatened to attack Chodankar and claimed that Dhond, in the same post, said that time had come for "action".
Tilve alleged that the BJP workers were upset with Chodankar's press conference yesterday where he had advised the Goa CM to demit office in order to take care of his health.
A Mapusa police official said a complaint had been filed for criminal intimidation, public mischief, intentional insult and criminal conspiracy of the Indian Penal Code.
The complaint was being examined, he added.
