Mathura, May 1 (PTI) Protesters blocked Mathura-Agra road for nearly half an hour today to hold demonstration against the alleged killing of a 19-year-old woman, police said today.

The family members of the woman in an FIR had alleged that she had gone to market to purchase a book on Sunday afternoon but did not return back.

Police recovered the body from Mahadeo Ghat here and sent it for post-mortem, they said.

The agitated family members of the woman today blocked the road for nearly half an hour, the police said.

"The blockade was lifted after the police promised to take stern action against accused," they said.
