Kate Dickie who played Lysa Arryn in Game of Thrones has joined the Season 2 cast of the Marvel series Loki. More details about her role in the series have been kept under wraps but according to reports she might be playing a villain.
Scottish actor Kate Dickie of Game of Thrones fame has joined the Season 2 cast of Tom Hiddleston starrer Marvel series Loki. According to Deadline, details about Dickie's character have been kept under wraps but there are speculations that she might play a villain. Loki is set in a Marvel Cinematic Universe-adjacent world, in which the God of Mischief is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) after absconding, with the Tesseract. Production on Season 2 of the breakout hit series has been completed. Along with Hiddleston, its cast includes Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong and Rafael Casal. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will direct and executive produce Season 2. Eric Martin is the head writer and will executive produce the show along with Hiddleston and Michael Waldron.
While plot details are being kept under wraps for now, Loki is the first show in the Marvel series line-up to get a second season; every other show that premiered in 2021 ran as a limited series. Marvel announced the second season would be on its way in the end credits of the season finale.
