Veteran actor Raza Murad has spoken out about the need for censorship on OTT platforms. In a conversation with ANI, Murad highlighted the importance of regulating content to protect social and cultural values. "In my opinion, there should definitely be censorship on OTT platforms. Look, censorship is like the screening area at the airport. Everything passes through the eyes of it. There are cameras and scanners there. So, if you are bringing any illegal items, they get detected and are stopped. You pass through customs' scrutiny there. Here, we have an institution, the Censor Board, that reviews films. Since self-censorship is not happening and there are such offensive words and dialogues, children learn and start speaking them," he said.

"I believe that if this freedom is not being used properly, then there should be censorship. And if they cross the line, there should be legal action taken against them," the actor added.
