Keeping in view the expected high footfall of new students, a coordination meeting between police officers and principals and representatives of all colleges of the South Campus was held today, they added.
The senior police officers of southwest district including Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Milind Mahadeo Dumbere were present in the meeting.
The college representatives were assured that a special team has been constituted by the district police to keep a check over the miscreants. Several teams have also been constituted to stop any untoward incidents against the girl students, they said.
During the admission session, motorcycle patrolling will be intensified in the area and the traffic zonal officer of the area has been instructed to take necessary measures to curb unauthorised parking, Dumbere said.
A full-proof security arrangement is being ensured in and around college to make admission process incident free, the DCP added.
