Panaji (Goa) [India], Oct. 29 (ANI): Goa Congress spokesperson Jitendra Deshprabhu on Monday stated that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who has not been seen publicly since October 14, may not be alive.The Chief Minister has not been seen in public since he returned from Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).Speaking to ANI, Deshprabhu said, "He (Parrikar) is nowhere to be seen either publically or privately. It leaves a very serious doubt in our mind, whether there is a chief minister at all. We want to see the chief minister, whether he is still alive."The Congress leader further said as Parrikar is the chief minister of the state, people have every right to know about his health.Further stressing on the issue, Deshprabhu demanded that members of the Congress party should be allowed to see the Chief Minister for surety, or else they will go to the court.On October 28, Goa’s Health Minister Vishwajit Rane revealed that Parrikar is suffering from pancreatic cancer.Citing Parrikar's ill-health, the Congress party has been demanding that they should be allowed to form the government in the state.On September 17, the Congress, along with 14 legislators in the 40-member state assembly, submitted a letter to Goa Governor Mridula Sinha, urging her to invite them to form the government.Parrikar has been undergoing medical treatment for a pancreatic ailment for the last few months causing, as claimed by the Congress, a leadership crisis in the state.
