Ranchi, Apr 12 (PTI) Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today accused the Congress of creating hurdles in the country's path of development.

But the people would not allow this to happen, he said here during the BJP's day-long nationwide protest against the recent Parliament washout.

The hunger strike has been organised to expose the Congress party's feudal thought and to disrupt all-round development, the Union Minority Affairs minister said.

On one hand the prime minister is thinking to take the country towards development and on the other hand the Congress and some of its misguided allies are trying to create hurdles, Naqvi said.

By not allowing the Parliament to function, the Congress had put a big obstacle in the country’s development, he said.

Continuous efforts were being made to affect the developmental programmes in the country and the Congress had been trying to ignore the country’s unity, values and parliamentary dignity, he alleged.

Naqvi also said that the opposition have become nervous at the pace of development and change under the prime minister.

They are engaging in things like return of awards, raising intolerance and caste issues, but the people have strong belief in the leadership of the prime minister, resulting in nullifying all their conspiracies, he said. PTI
