MTV has announced that Hollywood actor Chris Pratt will be honoured with this year's Generation Award at the star-studded ceremony of MTV TV & Movie awards, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to the MTV, the annual Generation Award is given to the outstanding talent who has made significant contributions in film and television.
Pratt, who can currently be seen in record-breaking blockbuster 'Avengers: Infinity War', became a household name with sitcom 'Parks and Recreation' as Andy Dwyer. He was part of the program for seven seasons. His other film credits include the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' movies, 'Passengers', 'The Magnificent Seven', 'Moneyball' and 'Zero Dark Thirty'.
Previous winners of the Generation Award include Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Wahlberg, Adam Sandler, and Jamie Foxx.
Hosted by Tiffany Haddish, the MTV Movie & TV Awards will take place on June 18th.
