Sukma (Chhattisgarh) [India], Oct 13 (ANI): Three naxals, including two carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh each, surrendered before the police in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Saturday.

This comes almost a month after Vetti Rama, a Naxal carrying a bounty of Rs eight lakh on his head, surrendered before police.

Meanwhile, on Saturday evening , a small action team of Naxalites in civil dresses attacked a protection team of District Reserve Guard (DRG) with sharp weapons and tried to slit throat of DRG's GS Deva in Cherpal Bazar (under the jurisdiction of Kotwali police station). He fought back bravely but suffered injuries in the neck and hands.

Once the firing stopped, the party found two injured Naxals, who were later taken to hospital. The two Naxals have been identified as Sonu and Sukku.

Police also recovered an indigenous gun with loaded round, knifes, detonators and other explosives. (ANI)
