Indore, Apr 13 (PTI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said that "chaos" is prevailing in the BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh.
"There is a chaos in Uttar Pradesh as BJP leaders have created an atmosphere of terror. Even police officials are not safe when faced with the ruling party members," Rajya Sabha member and AAP's national spokesperson Sanjay Singh said here.
The BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is facing fire currently over the Unnao rape case, where a BJP MLA is the accused.
Singh also questioned BJP leaders' fast yesterday against disruption of Parliament's proceedings.
"Is it necessary for the Prime Minister to observe a fast for running the House? He should have talked to the leader of the political party (whose members were disrupting the proceedings) on the issue instead," he said.
To a question, Singh said that Anna Hazare had contributed a lot to the country through his agitations, and calling him a Congress or BJP agent is an insult to the veteran activist.
When asked why the AAP did not take part in Hazare's recent anti-corruption agitation in Delhi, Singh said, "Anna himself decided that he will not allow any political party to take part in his protest."
He refused to answer any question about the rebel AAP leader Kumar Vishwas.
Vishwas was removed as in-charge of the party's Rajasthan unit two days ago.
