Centre Doesn't Need Anyone's Support: Uddhav Thackeray
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has launched a scathing attack at the Centre, saying that it "doesn't need any friend or political alliance".
Mumbai (Maharashtra), Oct 22 (ANI): Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has launched a scathing attack at the Centre, saying that it "doesn't need any friend or political alliance".
Addressing a rally in Shirdi on Sunday, Thackeray said, "Atal ji's (Atal Bihari Vajpayee) government was stable because of the support of many political parties. But current government's (Centre) attitude is such that it does not need political alliances or support."
In a veiled attack at the Centre, the Shiv Sena chief said that the current government had committed an act of sedition as it came into power by making fake promises to the people of the country. "You came into power by lying to people, this is also a kind of sedition.. Misleading people of this country is also sedition," he said.
Thackeray further hit out at the central government over the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and said, "Please tell us that Ram temple construction is only a gimmick. Please say that it will not be constructed so that people get a clear picture of what to do next. People anyway don't have any expectation from you. At least, tell us this truth that Ram temple would never be constructed in Ayodhya." (ANI)
