New Delhi [India], Oct 16 (ANI): The Delhi Police on Tuesday took suo motu cognisance of the video in which former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Member of Parliament's (MP) son, Aashish Pandey, can be seen brandishing a gun, and registered a case against the latter after verification from Delhi's Hyatt Regency.
The Delhi Police also interrogated a person who was with the accused when the incident took place.
The police also issued a show cause notice to Hyatt Regency seeking the reason for the delay in informing the police about the incident.
Meanwhile, Border check post has been put on alert along Uttar Pradesh-Nepal border and a lookout circular has been opened in all airports of the country for Pandey.
Earlier in the day, a complaint was filed under the Arms Act against Ashish Pandey, the son of former MP from BSP, Rakesh Pandey for pulling out a gun during a brawl at the foyer of the Hyatt Regency Delhi.
In the video, the accused, who the police say is Ashish Pandey, is seen wearing a black T-shirt and pink trousers and waving a gun to intimidate a couple. The video caused an outrage on social media even as the identity of the gun-toting man had not been revealed. (ANI)
