London/Berlin [UK/Germany], Dec 03 (ANI): Baloch Republican Party (BRP) held protests in London and Germany against the enforced disappearances in Balochistan.
In a statement, the Baloch Republican Party central spokesman, Sher Mohammad Bugti said that the protest in Germany's Chemnitz city was aimed at highlighting the escalation of the military operation and increased enforced disappearances in Balochistan in front of the entire world.
"Enforced disappearances are once more escalating. College, university Baloch students and those who protest these inhuman atrocities are a specific target of this practice by the armed forces of Pakistan" he added.
Revealing the incidents of disappearances, Bugti stated, "Most recently, Jiyand Baloch, his brother and father were abducted. A similar incident was reported in Kech district, where a student named Dolat Khan was abducted while traveling back home in Gorkop, Kech."
Bugti also said that similar demonstration was held at 10 Downing Street in London to protest against the enforced disappearances in Balochistan and stand in solidarity with the families of the victims. "BRP will continue to raise voice against the illegal abductions in Balochistan at every forum," he added.
Addressing the demonstration in Germany, BRP Germany Chapter president Jawad Mohammad Baloch said that the minorities were being targeted not only in Balochistan but across Pakistan. Meanwhile, Baloch people had been facing Pakistan army's wrath from the last 70 years, he added.
"Thousands of Baloch people detained by Pakistan army in the recent escalation in abductions in Balochistan," Baloch stated.
He further said that BRP will raise awareness about the plight of Baloch people including increased abductions, military operations and other atrocities by the state army at every possible forum.
While addressing the demonstration in London the central leader of BRP, Mansoor Baloch said that human rights situation was worsening in Balochistan.
"Our mothers and sisters have come out in the Quetta Press Club in this cold weather for their abducted loved ones. Some of them have been abducted years back but their families are still kept unaware of their crimes," he asserted.
"There is no law in Balochistan, the State agencies do as they please. They abducted whoever they want, ask for ransom or kill and dump them. Thousands of Baloch people have been victimised by this practice of the state agencies," Baloch revealed.
In a statement, BRP appealed that the human right organisations and the United Nations (UN) should intervene in the case of enforced disappearances in Balochistan and act according to legal laws to bring back those who have been illegally abducted and detained. (ANI)
