"The boy's father had dropped off the child at the swimming pool. When he went to pick him up, he could not see him anywhere. The child was found and rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead," police said. An autopsy report confirmed death by drowning.
Yug's father later filed an FIR after which a case was filed. In the complaint, Yug's parent alleged negligence by the swimming complex staff. He alleged that there were no lifeguards at the pool during the swimming lesson. The police officials have sought a report from the civic body about the trainer and absence of lifeguards.
